South Park Set between Ninth Street, the 10 Freeway, Broadway and the 110 Freeway, this is one of Downtown's most transformed districts — and its biggest success story. Its emergence as the entertainment and sporting epicenter of LA began just over a decade ago with the opening of Staples Center, followed by a glittering new skyline of sleep residential towers. The most celebrated new arrival is the billion-dollar L.A. Live entertainment mecca, which has attracted an influx of new restaurants, Club Nokia, the Conga Room, the Lucky Strike bowling alley and the Grammy Museum. Its latest arrival is the towering Ritz-Carlton Residences and hotel.
